Botulinum therapy

In the neurological department of the Clinic, treatment is carried out using an injection of botulinum toxin type A (botulinum toxin therapy) for the following diseases and conditions:

– pain syndromes – tension headache, migraine, postherpetic neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, myofascial and muscular-tonic syndromes;

– motor disorders – cervical dystonia, oromandibular dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, post-stroke and post-traumatic spasticity of the upper and lower extremities;

– bruxism (teeth grinding), dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint;

– autonomic disorders – local hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the palms, feet, armpits).

Injections are performed by a certified neurologist using ultrasound guidance.

The dosage of the drug and the points for its administration are determined individually, depending on the diagnosis and localization of disorders.
